Engine performance upgrades

When it comes to performance boats, faster is always better. However, there are many ways of going about that, depending on your budget and desired outcome.

Our experienced team draws on years of racing and performance boat knowledge, allowing us to develop a bespoke package to suit you.

Looking For More Horse Power?

A simple solution is to increase the power output of your boat. This can be achieved in several different ways:

  • Digital re-mapping / upgrading turbos
  • Engine swaps or upgrades
  • Whipple supercharger packages and custom turbo designs
  • Testing and tuning on the dyno

Our dyno facility can test both inboards and outboards up to 1550hp and monitor a full spectrum of information allowing the correct adjustments to be made and achieve the best gains.

More HP will only get you so far. The greatest performance gains are achieved when a complete review of the driveline system is undertaken.

    • Sea trials, testing, tuning and speed runs in the water are a key part of the development

    Engine & drive servicing

Our designated service mechanics are at home when it comes to caring for high-performance engines, no matter the brand: Mercury, Sterling, Ilmore or Chief. With years of experience servicing, maintaining and optimising carburettors, injectors, turbochargers and superchargers, we have your system covered.

We have the latest diagnostic equipment available (vital for the more modern engines) along with an array of engine-specific tools to ensure we can tackle the job at hand.

Our clients benefit from the highest levels of engine reliability following our servicing practices. Our team look at more than just the manufacturer’s in-depth service recommendations. We use oil analysis and an in-depth look into the workings of your engines to identify how we can best care for them.

We offer either OEM service parts or a range of aftermarket parts to best suit your setup and budget.

Your time on the water is important and malfunctions and breakdowns are a waste of that valuable time.

With each service comes a report not only on the work completed but also identifying other areas that may need attention or things to look out for.

Complete and in-depth, service records are key in sustaining your boat’s value and putting you ahead of the crowd when it comes time to upgrade.

    Engine, Drive & Gearbox rebuilds

Our full machine shop can complete rebuilds on a wide range of engines and other components.

High-performance vessels need a higher level of maintenance and care, rebuild intervals for important elements of the engine are closer than your ‘standard’ leisure vessel and keeping these items in peak condition is vital to keeping the boat running and avoiding bigger, more costly problems down the line.

    Propeller repair, servicing or replacement

Performance propellers are often overlooked. They are the key to applying all the HP in our boats and converting it into the speeds and excellent handling.

    We offer

    Replacement propellers

We can offer you replacement props from top manufacturers such as Mercury, Volvo Penta, Quiksilver, MMP, Hering Propellers and more.

Whether you are after a direct replacement due to damage or looking to change and improve performance, we can review your current performance and recommend a model and size that will give you the desired results.

    Propeller repairs

Our technicians are able to repair bent or cracked blades in bronze or stainless steel propellers (within reason). It is a more cost-effective option than replacement and is often worth showing us your propeller’s condition before deciding.

    Lab Finishing

Lab finishing is a term for removing any defects from the propeller casting or machining, thinning the unnecessary material and developing the blade profile to its optimum. Not something to be considered by the everyday boater. But, if you are looking to gain those extra few Mph, additional revs or sharper acceleration, this service is well worth considering.

Probably the most cost-effective way of making the most out of the power you have.

Lab finishing requires some running information to allow our technicians to develop the blade profile in the correct way. Including:

    • Boat HP
    • Current top speed
    • Current max rpm @ top speed
    • Boat weight
    • Drive design

If you are not sure about any of this information, just get in touch and we will talk you through it all.

    Balancing & polishing

Off-the-shelf propellers are rarely balanced to the degree of accuracy that we desire and over hours of use blade shape can be affected. Balancing and polishing will reduce vibration and cavitation. Improving the torque delivery and top-end speed of your vessel. Many of our clients go through this process as part of their annual maintenance

    Hull polishing

Our team are proud to use 3m polishing products to achieve the stunning deep gloss and UV protection your vessel deserves. We will select the perfect range of polishing products to suit your hull & deck.

Our standard three-stage cut and polish will eliminate the light surface scratches, allowing your paintwork or gelcoat to shine through. While our range of polishing machines allows us to get into the tightest corners.

For those deeper scratches, our paint team are on hand to carry out any size of repair. We can scan your current paint colour and have the paint mixed specifically for the job.

    PPF – Paint Protection Film

For areas above the waterline PPF (paint protection film) is an option. Traditionally this comes in the form of specialist clear vinyl. However, a more adaptable option. This clear coating offers scratch and damage protection whilst adding a deep gloss.

Let our team help you look after your investment and we will make you the envy of the dockside.

    Ceramic coating & Paint protection

Our ceramic coating system provides the following benefits:

    • High Gloss
    • Low Maintenance
    • Hydrophobic
    • Self Cleaning
    • Prevent UV Fading
    • Fouling Release and more

Help your paint and gelcoat look better and keep it protected.

Performance boats are known for more than just their top speed. Their aesthetics are just as important. Protect your factory or custom paintwork with a marine-specific ceramic coating, selected from one of our top brands. Our team will cut, polish and apply the coating that best suits the conditions and the surface of the boat.

Unlike most companies, we don’t stop at the waterline.

Keeping the hull of your performance boat clean from fouling and as slippery as possible is key to making the most of your boat. Even after extended periods of time in the water.

Using a ceramic coating below the waterline (especially on high-performance vessels does need a higher amount of maintenance). Where the topsides can be re-coated every other season, the hull would likely need to be reapplied mid-season (depending on the vessel’s usage).

    Vinyl wrap & graphics

Our aesthetics team are the experts when it comes to updating the look of your vessel. Whether it’s short-term (for an event) or permanent. We offer the highest quality internal and external wraps in a huge range of colours, textures and finishes.

    Shrinkwrapping

Protect your vessel during transport by taking advantage of our shrink wrapping services. There is no better way to protect your vessel for transport. Our team will clean the boat prior to wrapping and protect delicate paint areas with our hard surface protector.

If any vessels are expecting to stay wrapped for more than 14 days, we recommend locating dehumidifiers onboard to absorb the moisture and eliminate the condensation. Significantly reducing the failure of critical and non-critical machinery and parts across all yacht departments. It substantially increases the safety and operational reliability of a vessel.

    Custom decking, carpets and flooring

Brighten and customise your cockpit flooring with one of our flooring options

    Carpets

Our factory replacement carpets come in a range of colours. All of the boat carpets are made from synthetic materials that dry quickly and are UV resistant. The carpets are easy to clean and stain resistant.

Secured with a choice of physical fixings or temporary adhesive backings. Our custom carpets are rubber backed with fabric-bound edges. Custom cut to suit your cockpit furniture.

    Interior

Using dedicated interior films and coverings we can completely transform the appearance of your yacht.

Whether a colour change to refresh the appearance of the master cabin or a surface change to save cleaning time in the galley our extensive range of interior vinyl coverings is guaranteed to improve the look and practicality of your yacht.

Our range includes all effects of wood, marble, leather and much more.

We use the latest materials available on the market, therefore our wraps are guaranteed for 5 years with the correct maintenance and cleaning program.

We update many yachts whose gel coat/paint is faded and also work with yachts whose time frame with charters, doesn’t allow for the downtime involved with a new paint job.

    Maintenance

If you are keen to be involved in your own maintenance or even just want to know what to look out for, our engineers can compile a service brief, specific to your boat. This includes part labelling and identification, daily, weekly & monthly checks and a brief sheet detailing what oils / fluids are used in what.
